A Boston Fall Engagement Session Through Beacon Hill and MIT
Boston in the fall has a light that feels almost cinematic, soft, golden, and fleeting. For their engagement session, Anna Cate and Michael spent the afternoon moving through the city’s most timeless backdrops, from the modern architecture of MIT’s campus to the cobblestone charm of Beacon Hill.
We began at MIT, where warm sunlight reflected off the glass and tall columns along the Charles. Dressed in complementary neutrals, a beige suit and an off-the-shoulder white dress, they fit effortlessly into the clean, architectural lines of the space. The light was unreal that day, glowing across the water and creating a warm tone that carried through the entire session.
As the sun lowered, we crossed back into the city for Beacon Hill and the Public Garden. Anna Cate changed into a white jumpsuit paired with a silk scarf that moved beautifully in the wind, dramatic yet timeless. Against the brick sidewalks and golden leaves, it all felt quietly classic, fall in Boston at its best.
The focus of this session was simplicity and ease, editorial without feeling posed, elegant without trying too hard. These two will be getting married at Misselwood next year, and their Boston engagement felt like the perfect prelude!
