From the moment guests arrived, the care and attention to detail were clear. Custom stationery, hand-embroidered handkerchiefs for VIP guests, and bespoke menus set the tone for the evening. The linens were a gorgeous shade of blue, perfectly complementing the design’s elevated woodland aesthetic. Full-scale tree installations, bonsai centerpieces at each table, and branches adorned with stunning fall foliage created a magical, immersive environment, a beautiful juxtaposition of nature and the Athenaeum’s historic interior.

Every corner of the private library added character to the event. From towering bookshelves to the Athenaeum’s signature reading rooms, the venue’s unique spaces offered intimate nooks for conversation and breathtaking spots for portraits, blending history, elegance, and warmth in a way that’s hard to find anywhere else in Boston.

Dinner, catered by The Catered Affair, was a three-course menu beautifully plated with elegance and refinement. Dessert was exceptional, offering both visual beauty and exquisite flavors, perfectly complemented by thoughtfully selected dessert wines.

The welcome party featured gorgeous passed desserts, with a highlight being the whimsical milk and cookies, a playful, elevated touch that delighted guests from near and far. Every bite and sip reflected the careful planning and sophisticated aesthetic of the weekend, making the culinary experience as memorable as the setting itself.
