Olivia and Ryan's fall wedding at Wychmere Beach Club on Cape Cod was such a special day. After photographing Olivia's sister Caroline's wedding earlier this year, it meant so much to be welcomed back into this family's celebrations. Getting to know them over the years has been such a gift, and documenting another milestone for a family I feel so connected to made this October wedding all the more meaningful.

With an outdoor ceremony on the Dune lawn, an Ocean Room wedding reception, and the most incredible sunset over the dunes, their Wychmere Beach Club wedding was filled with beautiful light, thoughtful moments, and the kind of joy that made photographing them such a pleasure.

The outdoor ceremony space at Wychmere Beach Club is such a lovely setting for couples who want their wedding to feel connected to the Cape Cod coastline. Olivia and Ryan exchanged vows on the lawn in the Dune ceremony space, surrounded by their closest family and friends.

Cocktail Hour at Wychmere Beach Club

Cocktail hour was such a lovely chance for everyone to gather, catch up, and ease into the evening's celebrations. With a live magician setting the tone, the atmosphere felt relaxed and inviting, with guests mingling and enjoying the coastal setting at Wychmere Beach Club.

Sunset Wedding Portraits on Cape Cod

And then came the sunset.

We were treated to the most incredible light as the evening unfolded. It was truly something else, the kind of sunset that makes you want to pause for a moment and take it all in. We wandered among the dunes for a little while, letting the light lead the way and giving Olivia and Ryan a chance to step away from the festivities and simply be together.

These are some of my favorite moments to photograph on a wedding day. There is no need for much direction, just a little room to breathe, take each other in, and enjoy the moment. The dunes were bathed in the most beautiful golden light, and the combination of the coastal landscape and the two of them together felt almost surreal.

Cape Cod sunsets are always special, but this one was truly unforgettable. I'm so grateful we had the time to wander and photograph in that light. It was the loveliest reminder of how much beauty can unfold when you leave a little room in the timeline for the unexpected.

An Ocean Room Wedding Reception at Wychmere Beach Club

Following cocktail hour, everyone made their way into the Ocean Room at Wychmere Beach Club to continue the celebration. With its expansive windows and coastal surroundings, the space was such a beautiful setting for Olivia and Ryan's Cape Cod wedding reception.

And once the dancing began, these two absolutely brought the energy. Olivia and Ryan were incredible dancers, and watching them have so much fun together was one of the highlights of the evening. They were completely in their element, surrounded by the people they love and making the most of every moment on the dance floor. The joy between them was infectious, and it was so much fun to photograph a couple who were genuinely there to celebrate.
